Like many women, I used to be mystified as to why guys like porn. I also used to feel that if the man I was with liked watching porn, I for many reasons was not good enough to satisfy his needs. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. And quite honestly, if your man does feed his insatiable appetite for late night rendezvous with the computer or his favorite sex tape, there is really no need to you to worry or feel inadequate.

Men have stronger libidos than women. Studies have shown that men really do have stronger sex drives. They think about sex more and need to release their sexual energy. Think about it… how much does it take for you to get in the mood to have sex? How many times do you say Sorry babe, I’m just not in the mood? If we could be there for them every time they felt this need, we would be one tired species!

We all should know by now that men are visual creatures. When we can’t be there for them, they still need something to get those sexual juices flowing (no pun intended). Think about every romantic comedy you have ever seen. The guy always needs to look at something whether it’s a magazine or otherwise. And if they are home alone, who wouldn’t choose a virtual sex show over Sports Illustrated? Lose the idea that they are attracted to porn stars more than you. Actually there are so many home made porn movies on the internet these days, most guys prefer to watch real women than say Jenna James.
Men are simply wired differently than us. While all the reasons why guys like porn may remain a mystery to women (and even scientists!), the fact remains that there is no reason for us to believe that we are somehow being replaced. There is no reason to feel that we are not sexy enough. Are porn stars sexy as hell? Hey, I’ll be the first to admit they are. I’ll even go further to say that I am a tad jealous (and sometimes secretly wish) at the fact that I could be. However, I also know I will never lose my guy to one of them. Allowing him to indulge in a little fantasy never hurt anyone.
Why You Should Try It
Porn is a safe way for men to get what they need when we can not, or sometimes refuse, to provide it. Not only that, porn can actually be beneficial for a relationship. Try it out and watch it with him instead of being intimidated or threatened by it. If you’re a little too embarrassed to kick it off watching with him, try checking it out on your own. Have a little affair all by yourself when no one is home. Then surprise him one night. He will love this idea! Trust me. If you’re really not that into it, that’s o.k. too. Just don’t chastise him for it. But I challenge you to at least try it. After all, you never know what might turn you on.
