In order to better understand what Tantra is about, try the following exercise involving the three key points to Tantra – breath, sound and movement.

Breath is what we talked about above – learning to breath deep into your belly to move the air right through you. Sit on the floor with you back straight. As you inhale, you should feel your stomach get round, and push itself out. As you exhale, your belly should flatten. Once you’ve got that down, add sound. As you exhale each time, let out a long sigh, or another sound that feels right to you. Hearing that sound every time will keep you in awareness of your body’s energy.

After breath and sound, comes movement. Add the movement in the form of a light pelvic rock. You will soon notice something sexual awaken inside of you. Now lay down with your back on the floor, knees bent, and feet hip width apart. As you inhale, press your pelvis down, arching your back. As you exhale, flatten yourself out again. Continue breathing and making your sounds while you do this, until it feels comfortable to you, almost like second nature.

At this point, you should be feeling at least slightly sexual. The energy your body is creating by rocking your pelvis back and forth is a constant reminder of your sexuality.

While this is a great beginning, Tantra can take you a lot further. Booking a session for you and your partner to see a Tantra instructor is a great idea. Some men have reported getting and maintaining erections after only two or three sessions with a qualified instructor.

While some medications may work, they also come with many side effects. Tantra may seem a little off-the-beaten-path for you, but if it can solve your problem, and open you up to a whole different side of sexual pleasure – what have you really got to lose? And if there is not instructor in your area, there are many books available at your local book shop.
